It's not how many exercises you know that develops the quality and connection in your groundwork, it's how you apply them. Through developing a deeper understanding of how you internally and externally offer brace or release to a horse, either intentionally or unintentionally will truly revolutionise your horsemanship.
All styles of groundwork are welcome. Whether you use a rope halter, cavesson, flat head collar or bridle the more you feel what you are giving and receiving the horse the less effort and powerful groundwork becomes. Martha has gift for sensing subtle braces in handlers and always has a way of enabling the student to feel this themselves and allow release. This empowers students to improve at home without relying on the watchful eye of a trainer to guide them. You become your own trainer through improving your feel. |

My aim is to enable students to feel which movement or exercise will help your horse best at any moment.
I want student to be able to feel why your horse is struggling - is it mental, emotional or physical?
Is the student bracing mentally , emotionally or physically?
Is it pain related, fear-based, old pain memory, habit, just restricted?
Through feel we can create the best training experiences, not just for our horses but for ourselves.
